About Me

Lorraine Beavers is the Labour Member of Parliament for Blackpool North and Fleetwood
I have lived in Fleetwood all my life. I raised my two children in Fleetwood and still live here with my husband John.
I joined the Labour Party at 16 and have been a councillor on Lancashire County Council, Wyre Borough Council and Fleetwood Town Council. I am a passionate advocate for the people I have been elected to serve.
I have a track record of delivery as a local councillor and am keen to bring that experience to bear in Parliament. I am excited about the opportunities we have to improve lives in our area.
Bringing jobs for the future and investment into the Fylde Coast is vital to this goal. I believe in the people of this area and it is the honour of my life to be elected to represent them. I intend to deliver for them.
As an ex-army wife, I also have a special interest in the armed services and improving life opportunities for both current and veteran service personnel. It is really important to me that we pay back their sacrifice and dedication to our country.
I know that the decisions taken nationally impact on local residents every day. As your Labour Member of Parliament, I pledge to put local people at the heart of everything I do.
